Arcade
La arcade es un género de videojuegos que utiliza una mecánica de juego simple. A menudo se presta poca atención a la trama y al desarrollo de personajes. Las arcades están diseñadas para un entretenimiento ligero sin profundizar en la esencia de lo que ocurre. Lo principal es el proceso de juego y su simplicidad. A las arcades se les pueden atribuir juegos de diferentes géneros. Por ejemplo, en las carreras arcade no hay física realista, a menudo se utiliza armamento, y aún más frecuentemente se pueden recoger bonificaciones en las pistas, mientras que el control se reduce a tres botones: izquierda, derecha y aceleración. De la misma manera, el proceso de juego se simplifica en otros géneros arcade.
