Xenocide is a science-fiction action shooter about stopping an alien invasion of the planet Talos IV. Xenomorphs have infested its moons and threaten the planet’s inhabitants, so the protagonist must eliminate the aliens and destroy the moons.
The levels alternate between three modes: piloting a hovercraft in a first-person view, flying with a jetpack and swimming underwater in side-scrolling sections, and exploring a bio-lab from a top-down perspective. Weapons and power-ups can be collected along the way. On each moon, the goal is to find five bombs and detonate them; this task is repeated across all three moons.
