This role-playing game follows a group of high school students who encounter supernatural incidents and gain the ability to summon Personas after playing a fortune-telling game. Guided by Philemon, a being representing humanity’s collective unconscious, they confront forces that threaten the world.
The player controls the group, explores their town and other locations, and fights enemies using Personas. New Personas can be created for battle with spell cards acquired in combat or by talking to enemies. The viewpoint varies by location: the town is seen from above, streets and story areas from a third-person perspective, and dungeons and most buildings from a first-person perspective.
