A fantasy action role-playing game set in dungeons, Dragon Slayer is an early example of real-time dungeon crawling that combines arcade-style action with traditional role-playing mechanics.
The player explores labyrinths with the aid of an in-game map, fights enemies and solves item-based puzzles. The inventory holds only one item at a time, making item management part of the dungeon crawl.
