A turn-based strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world, combining elements of collectible card games and board games. At the start of a match, the player chooses one of four factions and builds a deck; each faction has its own playstyle, strengths, and weaknesses. The map is generated randomly and consists of hexes containing resources, independent units, and facilities.
Players explore the terrain, gather Humans, Materials, Energy, and Technology, develop their empire, and deploy heroes and units. Encounters include raiders, mercenaries, alien warlords, machines, and mutants: some may join a faction, while others fight against it. Actions use Action Points, and attacks can be launched with Aircraft, Missile, and Helo cards.
