This first-person science-fiction shooter follows a race of TimeSplitters that travels through history, altering events in an effort to enslave humanity. The player leads a crew of characters in pursuit of the enemies across different eras, from the Wild West and the streets of Neo Tokyo to Soviet military installations and futuristic robot factories in space. The goal is to recover crystals that can seal the rift in time.
The campaign spans nine adventures and can be played solo or cooperatively. Multiplayer offers split-screen matches for two to four players, with options to compete in battles or work together on missions. More than 100 characters are available to choose from.
