This old-fashioned RPG with turn-based combat and point-and-click adventure elements follows a young dwarf, Dalain Stonecruncher, and his companions on an expedition to an ancient underworld temple. Along the way, Dalain, Zenn, Ionor, and Barbados encounter strange beings, join a rebellion, investigate conspiracies, and battle demons; their adventures also take them to the arena and into space.
In The Dwarf Run, battles can be controlled manually or left to automatic combat. Character progression uses an original ruleset, while the adventure sections include light inventory-based puzzles. The game offers several difficulty modes and cinematic, top-down, and third-person camera views.
