TechWars Online is a turn-based strategy game about a conflict between the American corporation Kato and the Russian company Dominion over control of the latest military technology. Set in the world of Mikhail Vlad’s Techwars novel, it features combat mechs as the corporations’ primary weapons. The player chooses a side and receives a base mech, then builds a squad of five units by modifying and specializing them.
Battles require planning several turns ahead and making use of a combined-damage system, with no random factors affecting combat. Pilots can be upgraded with multi-level neuroimplants. Alongside a campaign of ten missions for each faction, the game includes PvP battles, territorial conflicts between players, and tournaments.
