This real-time historical strategy game focuses on American Civil War battles, with players commanding troops at Gettysburg, Antietam, and South Mountain. Units can take cover among trees, dig in, or rally around a general to recover more quickly, while cannons bombard the hillsides. The maps depict Pennsylvania’s rolling hills, Maryland’s greenery, and the South Mountain range.
The opposing force responds to orders and maneuvers, so tactics must change from battle to battle. A random scenario generator varies the conditions and possible outcomes of military engagements.
