Resistance: Retribution is a third-person sci-fi shooter set after the events of Resistance: Fall of Man. Former British Marine James Grayson sets out to destroy Chimeran conversion centers after a personal tragedy, but discovers that the Chimera have developed a new way to convert humans. The European resistance, the Maquis, recruits him for an operation to reclaim the continent alongside Cartwright and Parker.
Combat pits the player against the Chimera, including returning enemies from previous games in the series as well as new types. The game also features multiplayer for up to eight players, with five modes including Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Containment, and Assimilation.

No estoy familiarizado con los hermanos mayores, las partes principales de la serie, y difícilmente me habría familiarizado con este juego si no hubiera venido incluido con la propia PSP. La relación fue buena, fui de principio a fin, y destruí a los alienígenas a mi antojo (eran los que más recuerdo, con sus característicos ojos y colmillos; parece que se han vuelto bastante reconocibles). Y podemos decir con seguridad que, para una Sonya portátil, el juego es realmente genial. Recuerdo bien que los controles eran convenientes y la jugabilidad bastante entretenida.
Lo que me sorprendió fue que el juego fue desarrollado por el mismo estudio que luego arruinaría Golden Abyss en la línea Uncharted. Después de todo, pueden hacerlo. Aunque desde entonces podría haber corrido mucha agua bajo el puente...
Со старшими братьями, главными частями серии, не знаком, и с этой игрой вряд ли бы ознакомился, если бы она не шла в комплекте с самой PSP. Отношение сложилось хорошее, прошёл от начала до конца, вдоволь поуничтожал пришельцев (именно они запомнились больше всего, со своими характерными глазами и клыками; кажется, довольно узнаваемы стали). И можно с уверенность сказать, что как для портативной «Соньки» игра действительно крута. Хорошо запомнилось, что управление было удобным, а игровой процесс достаточно занятен.
Удивило меня то, что разрабатывала игру та же студия, что позже напортачит с «Золотой бездной» в линейке Uncharted. Могут ведь. Хотя с тех пор много воды могло утечь…
