A top-down arcade action game in which Bombermen fight monsters by laying bombs. White Bomberman and Black Bomberman set out to rescue tournament contestants kidnapped by Professor Bagura and stop him alongside Atomic Bomber, the professor’s creation.
In the main mode, players must defeat every monster in an area to open the way forward. Bombs can break soft blocks and reveal items that increase the number of bombs, their blast range, or the hero’s speed, as well as grant the ability to pass through blocks, kick or throw bombs, and detonate them remotely. The campaign supports two-player co-op, while a separate battle mode lets players choose from ten characters and face computer-controlled opponents in arenas.
