This action role-playing game follows a novice hunter taking on quests to track dangerous creatures across varied locales. Expeditions lead through several connected areas where the hunter can gather ores, insects and plants, as well as fight the creatures that live there. Objectives include hunting large monsters by killing or capturing them, and completing quests involving smaller creatures.
Quests reward the player with items, money and other spoils. Gathered resources can be used to craft weapons, armor, gear and consumables for healing or temporary boosts. The hunter does not gain abilities independently of equipment, so their capabilities depend on the gear they carry. The game features 14 weapon types, each with a distinct approach to combat, and weapons can be changed before a quest.
