This space simulation follows humanity’s first steps into 48 galactic systems, where competing ambitions shape life among the stars. In Freelancer, the player chooses how to act and earn a living, with no single prescribed path through the game’s world.
Trade goods along established routes for profit or raid those routes for plunder. The player can also pursue vengeance, take up arms to enforce the law, or work as a hired gun. These choices determine the role the player takes in the sprawling galactic setting.
