This third-person shooter is set in a future United States divided by the Great Flood, caused by melting polar ice caps. The eastern states form the Atlantic Alliance and rely on cybernetics, while the western states become the Republic of Pacifica and use genetic modification. A military strike on Pacifican territory sparks a large-scale conflict.
Players control soldier Mason Briggs, who fights with weapons that can destroy and reshape the terrain. Altering the landscape provides tactical advantages and changes the battlefield during combat. Soldiers on both sides have enhanced abilities: Pacifican forces rely on genetic modifications, while Briggs and the Atlantic Alliance use cybernetics.
