This real-time tactical simulation focuses on battles of World War II. Combat takes place across maps on the Western and Eastern Fronts, the Pacific Front and in modern cities, with eight scenarios available for each map. The scenarios let players choose among the major nationalities that fought on the Western Front between 1939 and 1945.
Players issue orders to infantry and armored vehicles, call in artillery support and monitor the condition of their soldiers. Each fighter’s rank, name, weapon, ammunition, heart rate and fatigue are shown; machine gunners request ammunition, while wounded soldiers call for medics. Vehicles move according to a physics model, and bullets, shells and shrapnel are simulated in 3D and can ricochet off sloped surfaces.
