Disgaea 3 is a turn-based tactical role-playing game and a sequel in the Disgaea series, with battles fought on isometric maps featuring three-dimensional terrain. Units have limited movement and attack ranges determined by their level and equipped weapons, making battlefield positioning an important part of combat.
Geo Blocks are cube-shaped objects that alter the terrain, allowing units to reach areas and enemies that would otherwise be inaccessible. Geo Panels cover parts of the battlefield and change the stats of units standing on them, either boosting or reducing them. Each item contains an Item World made up of randomly generated battle stages; clearing these stages strengthens the item.
