A turn-based wargame about British forces pursuing the German battleship Bismarck across the Atlantic during World War II. The player commands the British against Bismarck and other German units, which are controlled either by the computer opponent “Otto von Computer” or by a second player. Computer Bismarck includes six scenarios: two for solo play and four for two-player competition.
The action unfolds on a map of the North Atlantic, where letters represent military units, ports, and airfields. Units have different mobility, firepower, and vulnerability statistics. Turns are divided into phases in which players issue orders, maneuver their forces, and fight when opposing units occupy the same location. Destroying enemy units earns points; the winner is determined by the score after a set number of turns or when the Bismarck is sunk.
