Bad Dreams is a horror action game in which a peaceful dream gives way to a dark underground complex that the protagonist must escape. An idyllic beach turns into a nightmare, and the oppressive surroundings seem designed to drive those trapped inside to madness.
The player explores the complex, using a flashlight or matches to light the way, while trying to preserve their sanity. A bracelet provides warnings when the protagonist’s mental state is at risk. Actions affect what happens, and survival depends on quick reactions and careful choices about where to go as the nightmare grows more oppressive.
