This role-playing game follows mischievous Yo-kai whose antics cause trouble in everyday life. The hero explores the seaside town of San Fantastico and the village of Harrisville, befriends Yo-kai, and helps people with their problems. With Hovernyan, the hero also travels 60 years into the past to uncover the origins of the Yo-kai Watch and preserve the timeline.
Befriended Yo-kai form a team of six for battles against other Yo-kai and rival factions. This version adds Yo-kai from the Wicked Tribe and Boss Yo-kai to befriend, along with new locations and quests. Players can also join the four-player Blasters co-op mode to take on bosses, or battle another player's team online or over local wireless.
