A space simulation with action elements set in the science-fiction X Universe, where people are recovering from a cataclysm while dangers remain throughout the Jump Gate Network. Pilot Ren Otani recovers the Albion Skunk and sets out to rebuild the ship, searching for opportunities and adventure.
Players explore the universe through Jump Gates and highways, take on missions, build ships and space stations, and participate in a simulated economy. An armada can be assembled to fight enemies, and the game allows switching between 3D and 2D modes while playing.
