This educational adventure follows a search for words stolen by the Gruzzles, who cannot read and do not want anyone else to read. Benny Bookworm needs help returning the missing words to books. Players choose a girl or boy character and explore caves, cliffs, deserts, towns, haunted houses, factories, and dungeons while looking for words.
The game features three multi-level adventures and 330 words to rescue. As players progress, they practise reading, spelling, understanding word meanings, and solving logic puzzles; progress can be saved and restored. An in-game help system is also included.
