A virtual reality shooter with horror elements, The Brookhaven Experiment takes place after an Experiment tears a hole in reality and monsters emerge. With few people left, the player fights to survive while trying to learn what caused the catastrophe and stop the threat.
Combat centers on holding off increasingly dangerous waves of creatures with weapons and tools. Realistic aiming and firing, limited ammunition and batteries, and upgrades for weapons and items shape each encounter. The player must endure long enough to reach the source of the invasion and close the breach from which the monsters emerge.
