This transportation simulator challenges players to build a successful transport company and connect cities, districts, public buildings, industries and tourist attractions with a transport network. Passengers, mail and goods can be carried by rail, road, ship and air, while the company’s finances and the movement of vehicles and cargo are monitored.
Players can choose from graphics packages that differ in visual style, theme and difficulty. Simutrans also supports online games with other players. The game is freeware and open source.
