Sabre Team is an isometric, turn-based tactical infiltration game about missions carried out by a British S.A.S. unit against terrorist threats and in hostage situations. The player assembles a team of four agents, choosing them by their stats, experience and specialties, then leads them through five missions, including hostage rescues and search-and-destroy operations.
Before each mission, the team’s equipment can be customized with a choice of weapons, grenades and armor. Success depends on planning ahead and improvising during combat, while enemies react to the squad’s actions and attempt to counter them. Each mission begins with a voiced briefing, and its events are presented with cutscene artwork.
