A real-time space strategy game about the last human survivors fleeing a mysterious alien race and seeking a safe sector. The player leads a small fleet across a galactic map of randomized sectors and encounters, aiming to keep the Mothership intact and retain enough ships to defend it.
Sectors can bring combat, scavenging, trade, or dialogue, and encounters with other alien races can be handled through diplomacy or warfare. Ships receive real-time orders individually or in control groups, including movement in three dimensions. Resources come from harvesting asteroids and salvaging ships, and can be used to expand the fleet and research new ships and upgrades. Finding special missions unlocks two additional fleets.
