This is an isometric action game with hack-and-slash combat, set in Hardland, where an undead army is rising from the dark corners of the world. John Gore fights his way through lakes, graveyards, freezing plains and a stormy forest, facing murderous chefs, giant lumberjacks, killer penguins and other foes, including the forces of the Cossack General Metusalem.
Combat combines melee and ranged weapons, while collected loot can be spent on upgrades and items from a merchant. The roster includes 20 playable characters, each with a companion and a beast; enemies include 60 different types and seven bosses. The game also features 300 challenges, and random enemy patterns change how each fight unfolds.
