A platformer about Mr. Nibbles, a squirrel collecting acorns to prepare for winter. Across 60 levels set over four seasons and three years, the player explores areas and gathers scattered acorns and fruit.
Enemies along the way can be avoided or defeated. Power-ups can stop time or grant temporary invulnerability, while completing levels earns points.
