Istrolid is a space strategy game centered on building a fleet from ships assembled out of a wide range of parts. With no fixed units or factions, each design can be tailored to a chosen strategy, balancing strengths and weaknesses across ships ranging from fighters and bombers to battleships and destroyers.
Players refine their designs before battles, then maneuver ships in territorial fights while accounting for energy, range, firing arcs, turn rates, and firepower. The single-player campaign tasks them with conquering a galaxy, collecting parts for larger ships, and facing increasingly difficult opponents. Multiplayer battles can be fought solo or alongside allies, against custom AI fleets or with a player-designed AI fighting on their side.
