A music game based on the High School Musical films, it lets players perform songs and dance routines with characters from the movies. Story mode follows the films through songs from High School Musical and High School Musical 2, performed solo or as a duet with Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad or Taylor.
Party mode lets players compete against one another, while Quickplay offers a choice of unlocked songs, characters, outfits and settings. Players who prefer not to sing can accompany the performers by moving in time with the music to simulate playing percussion instruments.
