Gangs of Space is a massively multiplayer roguelike shoot ’em up in which players and their groups compete to conquer the galaxy. Combat combines dodging enemy fire with using ship abilities and equipment, while each death is permanent.
Players choose a ship from several classes and develop it over ten levels, salvaging equipment from enemy wrecks to shape a build. Completing class objectives unlocks new build options for future ships. Sectors can be conquered solo or with a squad; once the galaxy is fully captured, rankings are tallied and a new campaign begins in another galaxy.
