Final Slam 2 is a 2D fighting game built around creating fighters and entering championships. The editor lets players customize a character’s appearance, attire, moves, throws, special attacks and stats, as well as adjust their artificial intelligence. There are 80 save slots for created fighters, who can be exported or imported using text-based codes.
In story mode, the protagonist fights an evil force threatening Earth, while Versus mode offers individual matches against the computer or another player. Final Slam mode pits the player against 80 to 100 fighters in a bid for three titles, including the World Heavyweight Championship. Arcade mode strings together consecutive fights and tracks wins and losses.
