Arcade racing with action elements turns city streets, mines, and desert settlements into arenas where points come not only from completing laps, but also from wrecking rival cars and hitting pedestrians. In Carmageddon: Max•Pack, the player climbs the rankings from last place while competing against computer-controlled opponents and avoiding armoured police vehicles.
Each level can be completed by finishing all the laps, wrecking the opponents’ cars, or running over every pedestrian. Power-ups with varied effects can alter the course of an event, and vehicle damage is shown dynamically. In career mode, new cars are unlocked by progressing through levels and defeating rivals.
