This word-forming puzzle challenges players to connect adjacent letters on a grid to make words. Completed words disappear, and the remaining letters fall to fill the empty spaces; longer words and those using less common letters earn more points. Longer words are also more likely to produce bonuses.
Classic mode is untimed, while Action mode introduces burning red tiles that move down columns, consuming tiles in their path and ending the game if they are not cleared in time. Colored bonus tiles increase the points awarded for words. Bookworm Deluxe features updated graphics, Action mode, and a Hall of Fame.
