An arcade American football game in the Blitz series, it offers an alternative to licensed sports titles. In a story mode written by Peter Egan, the player leads a team through matches built around hard-hitting tackles.
The game adds precision-aim tackles and player-controlled touchdown celebrations, while its on-field Clash Mode has been enhanced. Team rosters are larger, with characters including Quentin Sands, star linebacker for the New York Nightmare, played by Lawrence Taylor. Online multiplayer is also available, and Late Hits return.
