This beat ’em up platformer follows Battletoads Rash and Pimple as they enter a virtual world to rescue their captured friends and stop Silas Volkmire and the Dark Queen. The story begins at a fortress in northern Tibet, where the Psicone Corporation is demonstrating its T.R.I.P.S. virtual reality system.
The game can be played solo or cooperatively, with a choice of either toad. The heroes fight enemies using varied attacks and combinations, while the stages mix brawling with platforming challenges. Many levels are remixed versions of stages from the original Battletoads.
