This action-adventure with puzzles is set in 50 BC, when Rome has occupied nearly all of Gaul. While Asterix and Obelix are out hunting, Caesar’s troops capture the villagers and the druid Getafix, taking them and the cauldron of magic potion to distant parts of the Roman Empire. The heroes return to find their village empty and set out to rescue their friends and recover the potion.
