AshenForest is a roguelite action RPG set in a plague-stricken forest, where the player fights its monsters in an effort to stop the infection. The forest began to wither after a mysterious object fell from the sky, turning many of its inhabitants into creatures. The game centres on a series of boss battles and encounters with other enemies, who must be tracked down through the mist and defeated.
After a defeat, Salvation points can be spent to strengthen a character before returning to the forest. The roster includes Agave, a warrior; Lycoris, a mage who controls minds and fire; and Nagne, a hunter armed with a dagger and a gun. Each has a distinct combat style, from heavy attacks and parries to fast strikes and ranged attacks.
