This virtual-reality action puzzle follows Alice, who has wandered into a mysterious garden and must find a way through each stage. The player controls her movements and switches between a top-down view of the level and Alice’s in-world perspective. The latter reveals underground caverns hidden from the outside view, where scattered looking-glass fragments can be found.
Collecting five fragments opens the gate and clears the stage. The top-down view helps trace a route to the goal and lets the player pick up and place blocks, for example to build bridges across gaps. There is no single route through a stage, so finding alternative paths is part of the puzzle. Alice Mystery Garden contains 17 stages with varying difficulty.
