A historical turn-based strategy game about the civil wars of ancient Rome, including the conflict between Caesar and Pompey. Its five campaigns cover events from 87 BC to 197 AD and unfold across Europe, North Africa, and neighboring lands, on a map divided into more than 2,800 regions and sea areas.
The player raises armies, maneuvers them across the map, and fights battles while maintaining economic and diplomatic balance with neighboring powers. The command system reflects the challenges of directing armies in the Roman era, while decisions and historical events offer choices that shape each campaign. The game features historical leaders and units.
