This combat flight simulator is set over the southern coast of England, where a fighter pilot defends Allied forces against an invasion from the air, land and sea. As the enemy advances, the player intercepts aircraft and helicopters, attacks ground targets and eventually engages the naval fleet. The pilot can choose from three Mark 2.1 AWAT aircraft, equipped with a machine gun, decoy flares and missiles for engaging aerial, ground and sea targets.
Before a sortie, the player can select one of nine difficulty levels, including a tutorial mode in which enemy forces do not fire back. The season and time of day can also be changed, altering the scenery. The cockpit display combines a forward view with an instrument panel showing information such as the aircraft’s speed and altitude.
