Agatha, the last nun of her order in Graveyard Keeper 2, unlocks sermons, supplies corpses to your Graveyard, and eventually helps you before the final battle. In this guide, we'll go through all of Agatha's quests in order and explain what you need to complete them.
Where to Find Agatha
You first meet Agatha at Januarius's Village Tavern, and the innkeeper cannot wait to get rid of her because the Nun scares away his customers. After the first sermon, she moves to the Crossroads by the Town wall to wait for another prophecy and never leaves the spot again because she has sworn an oath to remain there. Almost all of her quests are turned in at the Crossroads.
Remember Wrath day. Once per week on this day, Agatha checks how the Church restoration is going, and later you can also discuss corpse deliveries with her specifically on Wrath day.
Holy Moly!
This quest unlocks after Jack's Jack in a Boat quest. Visit the Village Tavern and speak with the Nun. When Agatha learns that you are an Inquisitor, she gives you a book about restoring the Church from scratch and demands that you put the building in order so she has somewhere to deliver sermons.
You need to raise Church quality to 10. Once you reach the required value, tell Agatha Everything's ready. She immediately receives another sign from above and rushes off to the Crossroads, leaving the sermon to you. An Inquisitor obviously does not have a preacher's license, but Agatha overlooks that detail the first time and joins you for the service.
The rewards are generous: +10 Agatha reputation, the Theology technology tab, the Church Cleaning and Writing Basic technologies, 1 bronze-quality Basic Prayer, 2 Town Gratitude, 1 bronze-quality Story, Priest's Clothes, and the Words of Faith achievement. From this point onward, you can deliver a sermon every week.
Nun of Your Business
Before leaving, Agatha asks for paper and writing supplies so she can properly record her revelations. You need 5 Clean Paper and 2 Ink. Early in the game, you can find some Clean Paper in a chest inside the Alchemy Laboratory, and the Alchemist also sells it. Ink is crafted at the Writing Desk from 1 Ash, 1 Water, and 1 Melted Fat, with each craft producing 4 Ink.
Give her everything using the Here are your writing supplies dialogue option to receive +10 Agatha reputation. She even manages something that almost sounds like a thank-you.
The Nun with the Hairy Ass
This quest unlocks after completing Holy Moly! and Chasing Fairy Lights. The first conversation requires 10 reputation with Agatha. You learn that the corpses the townspeople throw over the wall are now piling up at the Crossroads, while the Nun believes Donkey is an Emissary of Darkness and refuses to let him near the bodies. Choose the Corpse Delivery dialogue topic. Agatha has two complaints: one about your Graveyard and another about Donkey himself.
The Graveyard requirement is straightforward: raise Graveyard quality to 20. While you work on that, Agatha will provide a couple of the worst possible corpses once per week on Wrath day. Donkey is more complicated. The Nun wants sacred water to wash the stones after his dirty hooves, and the only source is an ancient well beneath the Crossroads. Enter through the sewer manhole, clear the blockages, and repair the Underground Well using 2 Polished Bronze and 4 Polished Stone.
Polished Bronze is crafted at Woodworking Workbench I with a Tool Rack using 2 Bronze Details, 2 Sand, and 1 Melted Fat. It is also sold by the Furniture Maker, Jeweler, and Smithy. Polished Stone is cut at the Stonemason's Workbench from 4 Pieces of Stone, 1 Melted Fat, and 2 Sand, producing 4 at a time.
Report the Graveyard upgrade using I fixed up the graveyard, report the well through the Underground passage dialogue option, then choose Corpse Delivery again. Agatha finally gives in, and Donkey returns to work. Completing the quest rewards you with +10 Agatha reputation and 2 Town Gratitude. It also unlocks The Ingenious Gentleman Don Keyote, which eventually leads to obtaining the Necronomicon from Gunter.
Brawns and Brains
Agatha is sending corpses again, but their quality leaves a lot to be desired. Ask her about Better corpses. The Nun says she can pray harder so that future bodies have more skulls, but she needs a more comfortable home because she is currently living right at the Crossroads. This conversation requires 30 reputation.
The first upgrade costs 2 Wooden Kit I and 2 Stone Kit. It rewards +10 Agatha reputation, so speak with her again afterward and choose Better corpses. You'll now have the required 40 reputation. The next home upgrade costs 2 Furniture Kit I and 2 Building Kit I. Furniture Kit I is crafted at Woodworking Workbench II from 1 Wooden Kit I and 1 Iron Kit I, and the Furniture Maker starts selling it at shop Tier II.
Rewards: +10 Agatha reputation, 2 Town Gratitude, and the Agatha's Guest Inspiration. Each upgrade to the Crossroads residence slightly improves the corpses Donkey delivers.
The Nun Also Reads
This questline begins with Herbert. During Sad Captain, No Action, you learn that the guard commander wants his book, and in Herbert and? you obtain a Romance Novel for him through a mysterious person at the Dockside Club. Herbert cannot read, but he is convinced Agatha has the most beautiful voice in the world.
You need 20 reputation with Agatha for this conversation. Choose Read for my friend. Agatha is offended at first and then flatly refuses. She will only agree on one condition: your Church needs a proper Choir. According to her, there are no decent singers left because all of them are dead. The hint is obvious. You'll have to resurrect the choristers.
The Choir is built inside the Church using 4 Oiled Planks, 2 Bronze Details, and 4 Music Notes. Music Notes are written at the Writing Desk from 2 Clean Paper and 1 Ink after unlocking Church Music I and require Book writing mastery 5. Bronze Details are forged at an Anvil from a Bronze Ingot, producing 6 at a time.
Once the Choir is ready, return to Agatha and choose The choir is ready. The Nun reminds you that she swore never to leave the Crossroads, but as the only priest in the area, you can grant her permission. Deliver a sermon afterward. Agatha will even confess her sins, which apparently consist mostly of not brushing her teeth and eating too much candy. The quest rewards +10 Agatha reputation and 2 Town Gratitude. Do not forget to tell Herbert the news during Reader for a Warrior for another +10 reputation with him.
Notorious Nun
This quest unlocks after the story quest Campaign of Thrones. Choose Talk about Herbert when speaking with Agatha. The Nun admits that Herbert is not afraid of her and actually enjoys spending time with her, which she considers a serious blow to her reputation because everyone is supposed to fear her wrath. To awaken righteous fury in the commander, she asks you to restore the Church Organ.
A proper Organ requires Special Wood and a woodcarver. Agatha gives you the details through the Special Wood dialogue topic. The woodcarvers lived in the Stilt Houses on the lake to the west, but the route is now overrun by zombies. The conversation rewards +10 Agatha reputation and unlocks Still Standing on Stilts from Herbert as well as See You in Church.
The Organ itself is built during Organic Music. Find the woodcarver Harold at the Stilt Houses and bring him 2 Building Kit I and 1 Iron Kit II so he can repair his wood-catching machine. Then build the Organ in the Church using 4 Special Wood and 6 Steel Details, speak with Agatha using The church organ dialogue option, and tell Herbert that the job is done. This rewards you with 6 Town Gratitude.
See You in Church
Agatha has noticeably softened while reading to Herbert and is even willing to admit it. Before making another request, however, she wants to see a truly magnificent Church. Raise Church quality to 50 and choose The church quality at the Crossroads. Reward: +10 Agatha reputation.
The House at the Crossroads
This quest begins after both See You in Church and Organic Music are complete. Choose Delicate favor. Agatha wants her residence to finally stop being a tent and become a proper house. There is another reason as well: she wants Herbert to retire from the guard and move in with her.
You need 2 Wooden Kit II and 2 Furniture Kit II. Wooden Kit II is crafted at Assembly Bench II with a Drill Press using 1 Special Wood, producing 3 kits per craft. Furniture Kit II is made at Assembly Bench III from 1 Wooden Kit II and 1 Iron Kit II, and it is also sold by the Furniture Maker once the shop reaches Tier III. Give Agatha the materials through A proper home for two. The reward is another level of the Agatha's Guest Inspiration.
A Good Example is the Best Sermon
Agatha now wants to invite Herbert to your sermon so he can experience the Church Organ. Deliver the next sermon with the Organ active. Naturally, there will be no righteous fury. The music calms both the commander and the Nun. After the service, Agatha admits that memories of her sisters no longer fill her with rage, only grief.
Completing the quest rewards +10 reputation with both Agatha and Herbert, 1 silver-quality Story, and the An Unlikely Pair achievement.
Well-Deserved Rest
This quest unlocks after completing A Good Example is the Best Sermon and Herbert's Not in Shining Armor Yet, then sleeping. Visit the couple at the Crossroads. Agatha and Herbert are now living together and have almost finished the Romance Novel. You can help them twice: a gift for Herbert increases Agatha's reputation, while a gift for Agatha increases Herbert's reputation.
Herbert needs another book, but Agatha will only read real literature. The Keeper volunteers to write a trilogy. You learn the recipe during the quest. The Trilogy is printed at the Printing Press from 3 Blank Softcover Notebooks, 3 Ink, and 3 gold-quality Stories, and requires Book writing mastery 7. Give it to Herbert using the Trilogy dialogue option.
Agatha, meanwhile, wants to record Herbert's war stories, but nuns were only taught to read, not write. She needs a Speech Writing Device, which is forged at the Steel Anvil from 1 Engineering Detail and 2 Steel Screws with Smithing mastery 7. Give it to her through the Writing device dialogue option.
Rewards: +10 reputation with both Agatha and Herbert and 6 Town Gratitude.
Wrath and Sloth
Agatha's final quest is part of the main story and unlocks during Eye, Red Eye while you are gathering allies before the final battle. How the quest unfolds depends on what you did with the Red Eye.
If you gave the item away, visit the Crossroads and choose I need your help. You need 90 reputation with both Agatha and Herbert. As with the other characters, completing all of Agatha's quests gives you exactly this amount.
If you kept the Red Eye, something strange is happening at the Crossroads, just as it does with many other characters. Agatha is terrified of losing someone again and asks you to craft the most comfortable chair in the world. The Comfortable Chair is crafted once at Woodworking Workbench II from 3 Special Wood and 3 Steel Screws and requires Building mastery 15. Despite the wording of the quest, you need to give the finished chair to Herbert. Doing so grants +10 reputation with both him and Agatha, but asking for their help on this route requires 100 reputation with each character.
Once they agree to help, Herbert arranges with the quartermaster to give you more room for protective equipment and places mercenaries at your disposal, while Agatha blesses the Keeper. This unlocks The Last Battle.
Agatha initially comes across as a fairly aggressive character, but she softens considerably as the story progresses and turns out to have much more depth than expected. Half of her requests revolve around Church and Graveyard quality, and she fiercely protects everything she believes in. We hope this guide helped you turn the angry Agatha into a valuable ally.
